Book review: Life is what you make it - is that so?

Author             :  Preeti Shenoy
Book Name     :  Life is what you make it
My Rating       :  3.5 / 5

Reading a book is same like, watching a movie. As soon as you completed it, you always had the urge of speaking about it with some one. I am going to do the same thing. Life is what you make it, is a love story mixed with some motivation and it contain lot of emotions, written by Preeti shenoy.

The story revolves around the character of ankita. She is same like her age group girls. She fell in love with an guy. Later when college seperated them both, They continued their relationship through letters. Every letter sent between them carried lot of love along with the written words. They loved each other so intimately. Of course they also have to manage it from their parents, from not knowing. Everything went good until some point of time. That is where another guy called Abhishek came into the life of ankita. Initially they meet through college cultural festivals. As they are the coordinators of their respective colleges. From the first sight it self abhi started to love ankita. Over a period of time she also fell for him and she decided to hide it from Vaibhav. Their relationship started to flourish like a morning flower. This also went good until some time. A time came in ankita life which changed her life altogether. It was like someone pour a bucket of paint on top of a perfect painting.

All her dreams diminished suddenly at that point. She was thrown to the rock bottom from top. Her slowly constructed life was broken down into pieces. Which almost cannot be fixed together back. Rest of the story deals with, how ankita deal with that life diminishing situation. How she went out from that hell, how she fixed all things back, how her life came back to normal and it is a story mixed with lot of emotions.

Though the story line, of this story was quiet predictable. She managed to make it as a interesting one through her beautiful way of narration. She made the characters realistic through simple names and description of those characters. She gave a perfect ending to the story in epilogue.

Characters:

While speaking about characters in this story, Hmmm.. They are not in huge number. Shenoy makes it quite nice by giving only important characters their name. Some characters, she referred them using only their relationship. Of course Ankita is the protagonist of this story. Entire story revloves around her as planet revolves around sun. Author doesn't focus much about detailing the character but she done what needed. Next Vaibhav and Abhi came as a boyfriends of ankita, they also played a important part in this story.Ankita parents don't have any name, she referred them as father and mother only. Joseph, Suvi and some bench of peoples came as a friends of ankita. And the most important character is Madusudan, he came as a doctor in this story. I don't want to reveal anything beyond this as it would may spoil the story. On the whole, she done a good job in giving her characters their names.

Takeaways:

These are some things which i feel as a take away from this story. No matter how life put you in a difficult situation try to come out of it. Life is hard sometimes, it may be even harder sometimes but try to take it. Accept it and live it. Over a period of time you may eventually come out of it.
Never belittle love. I am not saying this, Abhi grand father said this at one point. Ankita did this thing in her life she faced the severe consequence of that. So don't hurt others and don't play with other feelings.
The final things is author spoke about one severe mental problem called Bipolar Disorder. I should not speak this, but at the same time i cannot leave it. She described the evil effects of Bipolar disorder, how it occurs, why it occurs, what are the symptoms for it  and most importantly how to overcome it.

Recommended or Not?

I definitely recommend this book but at the same time, i won't say this is the best book i ever read bla bla bla, all those cliche lines. It is a definitely a one time readable. Some things you cannot take up that much easily but over all it is a psoitive story with good ending and message.

If you want me to suggest any good book please comment it. I will try to read it and review it. Have a good day. Keep Reading !!!

RAM Scion Of Ikshvaku | Book Review

Book Name : Ram Scion Of Ikshvaku Author: Amish Tripathi My Rating: 3.5/5 This is the first Mythological novel, i read. I always hate mythology because you cannot interpret something on your own. After all it is a myth. Author is just pouring his own interest on it and change the actual thing. That is not, how it should look like. But then i decided to give this one a try. As the book name suggests, this one is about ram. Amish wrote a series of three books for Ram, Sita and Raavan. The collection was named as Ram Chandra Series. He already wrote another set of three books about Lord Shiva.  Okay, while coming to this story. Though Amish stick himself  to the baseline story of Ramayanam. He altered it as many possible ways as he could. For example, he introduced something called masculine way and feminine way.  He also introduced some new character like Roshni. He introduced this character as a rakhi sister of Ram brothers. Throughout the book there is ...

Book Review: Stories we never tell

Book Name: Stoies we never tell Author: Savi Sharma My Rating: 4/5 Last month Savi Sharma came up with her new story, " Stories we never tell". It is the first book of her, after  her marriage. The beauty of her story is, It carry some positive vibe with it. She is believing in changing life through stories and doing the same thing. This time she took a most needed thing for today society. As similar to the rest of her stories. The story of two characters starts to grow independently at one point it meet each other. From there it proceeds to the next point. It is her way of writing. She followed the same thing here also. Okay, is it worth to read? does it make any change?  Is it that good? answer to all those questions is simple " It depends". It depends on your interest may be this article may provide a hindsight whether this book matches your interest or not. Story Line: This story entirely revloves around the life of Ahsray and Jhanvi.
